How does paying with the PEXX Card work?

Your PEXX Card spends directly from your Main balance, which holds USD, USDT and USDC. You don't need to top up the card. When you pay, we convert the amount into USD and deduct it from your balances.

What happens when a merchant charges in another currency?

The authorised currency (currency that you are paying the merchant in) is converted to USD at the moment you pay. We then deduct the converted amount from your USD, USDT or USDC balance using Visa's rates. An FX/cross-border fee may apply.

Which balance is charged first?

We always charge your largest balance first, whether that is USD, USDT or USDC. If it isn't enough to cover the payment, we use the next largest balance for the rest.

Why was my payment split across more than one balance?

Your largest balance didn't have enough to cover the full amount, so we used your next balance for the rest. The payment still counts as one transaction. You can see the amount taken from each balance under We deducted in the transaction details.

Your balances

Payment of 60 USD

What's deducted

40 USDT, 30 USDC, 10 USD

60 USD

40 USDT, then 20 USDC

What if I don't have enough funds?

If your USD, USDT and USDC balances together can't cover the payment and any fees, the payment is declined. No money is taken. Add funds to your Main balance and try again.

Is my card balance the same as my Main balance?

Yes. Your card balance is your Main balance, shown on the home screen. For card payments, we treat 1 USD, 1 USDT and 1 USDC as equal in value.
