PEXX uses a full in-app integration: installing the eSIM is normally tap-to-install from the PEXX app — your phone opens the system flow to add the cellular plan. This article describes that path and where manual activation details fit (especially on Android).
Key Points
Navigation: eSIM → Countries (authoritative list) → GB/days (pick bundle) → install / activation.
Start in the PEXX app and follow the in-app steps until the phone confirms the plan is added.
You need a stable internet connection (WiFi or strong 4G/5G) while the profile downloads.
You keep one eSIM; new plans reuse it unless PEXX replaces it for support reasons.
Turn off VPN during install if you hit errors.
After installation, continue to Setting Up Your PEXX eSIM for Internet.
Before you begin

When should I install the profile?
Best: on WiFi at home or work before you travel, so you are not fighting airport captive portals for the download.
30-day fixed bundles: the clock started at purchase — installing the profile early does not buy you extra calendar time on the bundle; it only gets the phone ready.
Using data abroad: expect connectivity when you arrive in the destination. Full context is in What Is the eSIM With Your PEXX Service? under Purchase, install, and travel.
Pick a country and bundle
Tap eSIM in the PEXX app.
Tap Countries
Tap GB/days (or the equivalent control) to choose your bundle.
Continue toward purchase, then open PEXX eSIM in the app when you are ready to add the plan to the phone.
What you see after purchase
After purchase, open PEXX eSIM in the app. Your plan appears there with an action such as Activate now until the profile is fully added to the device. Exact layout is defined by the live PEXX app.
Install from the PEXX app (primary path)
Open PEXX eSIM and select your plan.
Tap Activate now when you are ready. Ensure a stable internet connection — use WiFi if you can.
Review the on-screen checklist. It usually covers:
Delete your current eSIM — only when the app asks (for example when refreshing the same device's profile).
Activate eSIM — the system install runs here.
Label your eSIM "PEXX" when the phone prompts you.
Set default for Cellular Data to the PEXX line.
Tap Activate eSIM now to continue, or Maybe later if you are not on WiFi yet.
When the phone shows the system dialog to add the cellular plan, confirm and wait until installation finishes.
After activation, the app shows usage and time remaining on the plan card (exact labels depend on the live app).
This flow is tap-driven from the PEXX app; the OS downloads the profile. Using data in-country is expected after you arrive at your destination.
Manual activation details (especially Android)
If the guided install does not complete, open the PEXX app and use the option to show manual activation details (SM-DP+ address and activation code). Then on the phone:
iPhone: Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM > Enter Details Manually — paste or type the values from the PEXX app.
Android: Settings > Connections > SIM Manager (or Network & Internet > SIMs) → Add eSIM → enter activation details — exact menu names vary by manufacturer.
If install fails
Toggle Airplane Mode on/off, confirm stable internet and no VPN, restart the phone once, and try again from the PEXX app. If it still fails, see Troubleshooting: eSIM Installation Problems (PEXX) and contact PEXX support with screenshots.
Wrong device or need to move the eSIM?
The one eSIM model is tied to this phone. If you replace the handset, contact PEXX support so they can move you to a safe replacement flow.
