Your PEXX eSIM

Common questions about PEXX mobile connectivity and eSIM bundles.

Before you travel or use roaming

Where do I find countries and install?

In the app: tap eSIMCountries (this is the official coverage list) → GB/days to pick your bundle → follow install / activation. Everything stays inside PEXX.

When should I install the profile on my phone?

On stable WiFi, ideally before you travel, so the download is not rushed at the airport. The 30-day period on fixed bundles starts at purchase, not when you tap Activate now or use your first megabyte — check the plan card for time remaining. Data is intended to work when you arrive in your destination. More detail: What Is the eSIM With Your PEXX Service? (timeline) and How to Install Your PEXX eSIM (when to install).

Do I need a separate carrier app?

No. Use the PEXX app for countries, purchase, install, and plan management.

Can my family or team share one eSIM?

One device holds the active PEXX eSIM profile. Anyone who needs their own mobile data on their own phone needs their own PEXX plan (and therefore their own device flow).

Is my phone supported?

During use

How much data do I have?

Fixed bundles: 1 GB, 3 GB, 5 GB, 10 GB, or 20 GB. The 30-day window starts at purchase; the app shows used / total and time remaining.

Unlimited daily: 5 GB per calendar day at full speed, then 512 kbps for the rest of that day. Same purchase timing for plan rules; service is designed to activate when you land in your destination.

Which countries are included?

Open eSIMCountries. That list is what you should rely on.

Calls and SMS?

PEXX is data-only on the eSIM line. Use your regular SIM for normal calls and SMS if you need them; use apps over the PEXX data connection if you prefer.

Roaming fees?

Billing and inclusions are defined by PEXX. Enabling data roaming in phone settings is usually required technically; it does not by itself mean an extra bill — your plan rules decide that.

Internet feels slow

  1. Airplane Mode on 10s → off

  2. Move to better signal

  3. Confirm you are on mobile data (not captive WiFi only)

  4. On unlimited daily, after 5 GB in a day, speed drops to 512 kbps until the next day — this is expected, not a fault.

I crossed a border and data stopped

Toggle Airplane Mode; if needed, manual network selection (see Troubleshooting: No Internet After Installing Your eSIM (PEXX)).

A website or app thinks I am in the wrong country

After travel or when the plan ends

What happens when my bundle runs out or expires?

Data stops until you buy another plan. You can delete a plan in the app and buy a new one — you still use the same single eSIM on the phone unless PEXX support replaces it.

How do I delete the eSIM?

You can leave the eSIM installed between purchases so the next bundle attaches to the same profile — unless the activation flow tells you to delete your current eSIM first (that step appears when the app needs a clean slate on the device).

To remove the line manually from the phone:

iPhone: Settings > Cellular → select the line → Delete eSIM / Remove Cellular Plan

Android: SIM Manager / SIMs → select the line → Remove / Delete
